A flavoured American whiskey from Bogue Sound Distillery in North Carolina, made with peanut butter and an unaged whiskey base. It is bottled at 35% ABV in a 75cl-style 750ml bottle.
The base spirit spends no time in barrel before the peanut butter flavouring is added, so the character comes from roasted nuts rather than oak or caramel.
Roasted peanuts lead the nose, with light sweetness and soft cereal grain. The palate is creamy with peanut butter, mild sweetness and a gentle whiskey warmth. The finish is smooth and sweet, with roasted nut character lingering.
