John Crabbie Peated Single Malt (70cl, 46%)

John Crabbie Peated Single Malt is a Scotch single malt made in tribute to John Crabbie, a nineteenth-century merchant and selector of Scotch whiskies. It is made from malted barley dried over peat, matured in virgin oak casks and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The colour is a deep gold. The nose combines peat smoke, vanilla and honey with citrus, green apple and a little toasted oak. The palate is medium-bodied and silky, with sweet malt, caramel, orchard fruit and clean smoke alongside black pepper and gentle spice. The finish runs medium to long, with peat smoke, vanilla, oak and a faint saltiness.
