This is Johnnie Walker Black Label aged 12 years, in a commemorative edition marking the 200th anniversary of Johnnie Walker. The whisky is the familiar Black Label blend, in a redesigned presentation.
The nose combines oak, toffee, vanilla and a subtle smokiness, with citrus fruits, spice and a slight floral note. The palate is smooth and rich, with smoke and peat alongside fruit, citrus blossom, oak and malt, and a toffee sweetness with subtle spice. The finish is long, with fruity sweetness, citrus peel, vanilla and a gentle peppery warmth.
