Johnnie Walker High Rye is a blended Scotch whisky made with a high rye mash bill, bottled at 45% ABV.
The nose offers plenty of vanilla and pepper, with a fruity touch that some compare to banana, more natural and starchy than artificial. On the palate the rye is strong, bringing pepper, clove and allspice first, then a juicy green apple sweetness with a faint hint of smoke. The finish is dry and spicy, with a nutty aftertaste.
