This is Johnnie Walker Blue Label from the 1990s, in a one-litre bottle at 43%. It dates from the early years of Blue Label, introduced in the early 1990s after Johnnie Walker Oldest, and was released mainly for duty-free travel retail. The blend was made to recreate the style of the finest nineteenth-century Johnnie Walker blends, using mature malt and grain whiskies, including long-aged stock laid down in the 1960s and 1970s. It was presented in a deep blue box, with an individually numbered bottle. The flavours described are honey, dried fruits, polished oak, dark chocolate, orange peel and peat smoke.
