Johnnie Walker Blue Label Elusive Umami

Johnnie Walker Blue Label Elusive Umami is a limited release blended Scotch whisky, created by Master Blender Emma Walker in partnership with chef Kei Kobayashi. It takes its inspiration from umami, a taste that is hard to define. The casks, from both inland and coastal distilleries, were hand-picked for their umami character, and only one in 25,000 casks was found to have it. The flavour is described as sweet and savoury, with blood oranges, red berries, sweet wood spice, a touch of smoked meat, and a hint of salt and pepper, ending in a long, sweet fruit finish.
