Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Brora (75cl, 46%)

This is a limited-edition blended Scotch from Johnnie Walker Blue Label, the first in the Ghost and Rare series. Each release in the series is built around a whisky from a distillery that no longer operates, and this one centres on Brora, the Highland distillery that closed in 1983. Alongside the Brora single malt sit grain whisky from Cambus and single malt from Pittyvaich, both also closed. Five rarer whiskies from Cameronbridge, Clynelish, Glenkinchie, Glenlossie and Royal Lochnagar complete the blend. It is described as lightly peaty with a subtle sweetness, with notes of pineapple, hazelnut and dark chocolate.
