Johnnie Walker Double Black is a blended Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle, made as a small-batch variation on Black Label.
Its distinguishing step is maturation in charred oak casks, which gives the 12 year old base of Black Label more character. The result is a blend with a more intense flavour than the original, strongly smoky and sweetly malty.
