Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year Old is a blended malt made only from single malts that have each matured for at least 15 years. Whiskies from Talisker, Linkwood, Cragganmore and Caol Ila are among its key components, matured in European and American oak. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle, and Green Label returned in 2016 after a period away from the market.
The nose offers raspberries, candied apple, orange and pine needles, with vanilla, caramel, heather and a little liquorice over faint maritime smoke. The palate is full and smooth, with pear, apple, malt, sherried dates and raisins, then cedar and gentle spice. The finish is medium, with fruit, spicy oak and fading peaty smoke.
