Johnnie Walker Private Collection 2014 Edition

The Johnnie Walker Private Collection 2014 Edition was the first in the annual Private Collection series from John Walker & Sons, created by Master Blender Dr Jim Beveridge to explore flavour ideas beyond the core Johnnie Walker range. Its theme is smoke. The blend was made from 29 reserve casks, combining mature Highland, Island and Islay malts with specially matured grain whiskies, some from experimental maturation programmes. Smoke works as one layer among rich fruit, spice and oak rather than as an intense peat profile. Only 8,888 individually numbered decanters were produced, in dark blue crystal-style glass with an ivory presentation box.
