Johnnie Walker Private Collection 2017 Edition

The John Walker & Sons Private Collection 2017 Edition, known as Mastery of Oak, is the fourth release in the Private Collection series. Master Blender Dr Jim Beveridge created it with blender Aimée Gibson to explore how oak shapes Scotch whisky. Release was limited to 5,588 individually numbered decanters. The blend has three parts: malt and grain whiskies matured mainly in first-fill American oak, Highland and Speyside single malts from refill casks, and whiskies from experimental casks with varied char levels and seasoning methods. The decanter has a minimalist, crystal-style look and comes in a woodgrain-inspired presentation box.
