Johnnie Walker Red Label is a blended Scotch whisky from the house John Walker founded in Kilmarnock in 1820. It descends from the brand's Special Old Highland Whisky, which was renamed Red Label in 1909, the year the Striding Man first appeared.
It was designed to be bold and vibrant, and it became the brand's flagship blend.
The palate is soft and gentle, with sweet grain, sour apple, vanilla cream and white pepper, then caramel and toffee. The finish is short and sweet, with apple-skin tannin and a touch of fruit.
