Judson & Moore Red Corn Bourbon is a straight bourbon from Chicago, Illinois, bottled at 47% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The mashbill is 75% Bloody Butcher red corn, 15% rye and 10% malted barley. The heirloom corn is grown at Cow Creek Farm in Paxton, Illinois, and gives a bourbon that leans on creaminess and depth rather than sweetness alone.
The nose is soft butter, cereal grain, vanilla custard and toasted spice. The palate offers honey, melted chocolate, chocolate-covered raspberries, butterscotch, oak and baking spices. The finish is rich and smooth, with oak tannins and a mineral note from the corn.
