Jura 18 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle at 44% ABV. It was matured for 18 years in bourbon barrels and then finished in red wine casks, balancing the distillery's gentle smoke with the richer character of the casks.
The nose opens with creamy vanilla and soft mineral notes, then spiced sweet bread, orange peel, brown sugar and white pepper, ending in toffee and milk chocolate truffle. The palate has soft, growing spice, sponge cake and orchard fruit, with smoke that builds over time. The finish is caramel with spiced orange peel and chocolate.
