Kaiyo The Unicorn is a 10 year old Japanese whisky bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It begins its maturation in Japanese Mizunara oak casks, which bring spice and subtle floral hints, and is then finished in bourbon barrels for caramel and toasted oak.
On the nose, cedar and charred oak lead to maple pastries and cinnamon-spiced vanilla. The palate is buttery caramel, treacle toffee and candied nuts. The finish lingers with toasted oak, honey and woody spices.
