A Japanese malt whisky from Kaiyo, bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle without chill filtration.
The spirit is matured in oloroso and pedro ximénez sherry casks and in Mizunara oak. In a final stage, the casks travel by ship from Osaka and spend up to three months at sea.
Tasting notes describe red plum, prune syrup and honey on the nose, a rich, sherried palate of plum caramel, tropical fruit, cardamom and dark chocolate, and a long finish of prune, cacao and cinnamon.
