Nikka Miyagikyo Single Malt is a Japanese single malt whisky from Nikka, bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. The Nikka name comes from Masataka Teketsuru, born in 1894 to a family that had made sake since 1733. He was sent to Scotland in 1918 by his first employer to study whisky production and distillation. After returning to Osaka he built the first whisky distillery in Japan. In 1934 he decided to follow his own path and look for the best place to make Japanese whisky.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
