Nikka – From the Barrel

Nikka From the Barrel is a Japanese blended whisky from Nikka, the distiller founded in 1934. The story begins with Masataka Taketsuru, who travelled to Scotland in 1918 to learn the craft of whisky-making. This one is bottled at cask strength and is described as a whisky of very strong character, intensely fruity and complex. On the nose it shows apricot, lilac and clove. The palate brings peach, caramelised apples, honeysuckle, pepper and oak.
