Karuizawa – 1984 Number One Drinks Single Cask #3663

This is a single cask Japanese single malt from the closed Karuizawa Distillery, at the foot of Mount Asama. It was distilled in 1984 and bottled in 2013 by the Number One Drinks Company. The whisky spent nearly three decades maturing in a single sherry butt, cask 3663, and 345 bottles were released. Karuizawa is known for powerful, richly textured malts, and its heavily sherried expressions combine concentrated dark fruit, chocolate, aromatic spice and mature oak.
