Karuizawa 35 Year Old "8-Headed Dragon" is a single cask Japanese whisky from the Karuizawa distillery in Nagano. It was distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2016 at 54.4% ABV, in a 70cl bottle, from cask number 171.
The outturn was 530 bottles. The label shows Yamata no Orochi, the eight-headed serpent of Japanese mythology, drawn as a dragon-like figure taken from a book cover published by Hasegawa Takejirō.
The distillery was mothballed at the end of 2000 and demolished in 2016.
