Distillery
Karuizawa
This is a cask strength Karuizawa drawn from the 1999 and 2000 vintages, issued as the Fugaku Sanjurokkei release. Its label carries a view of Mount Fuji. Karuizawa distillery opened in 1955 in Miyota, close to Mount Asama, an active volcano. The distillery has been closed for many years, so this bottle comes from a distillery that no longer produces.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
