Ki One Batch 4 Peated is the first fully peated release from Ki One Distillery in Namyangju, South Korea. Made from barley peated to 50 PPM, it is fermented for at least 100 hours, twice distilled in Forsyths copper pot stills and aged for at least three years in new American oak and ex-bourbon barrels. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, non-chill filtered and with no added colouring.
The nose is peat smoke, roasted five spice, cigar smoke, dried herbs and walnut. The palate shows sweet mandarin, pepper, marmalade and stewed plum, with brine. The finish is drying and warm, with tobacco, clove and smoke.
