Kilbeggan Traditional Irish Whiskey is a blended Irish whiskey from Kilbeggan Distillery in County Westmeath, bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
It is made from malted and unmalted barley and is double distilled. The second distillation takes place in a pot still of more than 180 years old, which came originally from the Old Tullamore Distillery. The distillery's roots go back to 1757.
The nose is sweet caramel and toasted wood, with cereal, green apple and a little vanilla. The palate is soft and malty, moving to honey, dried fruit, vanilla and gentle spice. The finish is long and delicate, with spice, faint grape notes and oak.
