Kilchoman – Loch Gorm 2024 (70cl, 46%)

Loch Gorm is Kilchoman's annual release, matured entirely in sherry casks. The 2024 edition vats whisky from 23 Oloroso sherry butts that previously held Oloroso at Bodega José y Miguel Martín. The spirit was distilled in 2014 and matured for nine years, made from malt peated to 50 ppm. The edition runs to 18,000 bottles at 46%, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. The nose has sweet barbecue smoke over stewed fruit, dark chocolate and dried figs. On the palate, fine peat smoke meets honey-roasted nuts, cinnamon and malty barley. The finish pairs fresh citrus with rich toffee.
