Kilchoman Private Cask Release is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky matured in a bourbon cask. It was distilled in July 2006 and bottled on 24 July 2016, at 52.1% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is light peat with tropical fruit such as apricot or banana, creamy vanilla and a hint of spice. On the palate come stewed fruits, butterscotch and a touch of black pepper, with a smooth, sweet character from the cask.
The finish is long, the peat turning fruity and slightly spicy.
