Kilkerran 12 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in 70% bourbon and 30% sherry casks.
The nose opens with sweet confectionery: Turkish delight, pear drops and marzipan, with subtle peat smoke like toasted marshmallows by a campfire. The palate starts zesty, with lemon cheesecake and an oiliness typical of Campbeltown, then peat smoke, leather-bound books, pepper and sticky toffee pudding. Campfire embers carry into the finish, with pecan pie and butterscotch.
