Kilkerran 8 Year Old is a Scotch single malt matured in bourbon casks and bottled at cask strength, 57.7%, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose opens with butterscotch and custard creams, followed by apple butter, white miso, cream sponge and poached pear. The palate is creamy, with shortbread crust and smooth caramel chocolate, then gooseberries, white grapes, cigar box smoke and sandalwood. The finish brings green peppercorn, honeydew melon and an ashy note.
