Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 11 is a Campbeltown single malt from the Peat In Progress series, bottled at cask strength, 57.9%, in a 70cl bottle. The peat level is given as 45 PPM.
Most of the whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks, with a smaller part in ex-sherry casks.
The nose is fresh, with lemon and lime tart, toasted rye bread and peat smoke. The palate shows toasted marshmallows and campfire, with hints of vanilla and pudding. Smoky, mineral notes dominate the finish.
