Kilkerran Heavily Peated is a single malt Scotch whisky from Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, matured in oak and bottled at 58.6% in a 70cl bottle.
The distillery is owned by Mitchell's Glengyle Ltd., who chose the Kilkerran name to reflect the Campbeltown distilling tradition. It was thought a fitting name for a new Campbeltown malt, since the old distilleries of the town were rarely named after a glen, a custom more often associated with Speyside.
