King of Kentucky 12 Year Old Batch 1 is a small batch Kentucky straight bourbon from Brown-Forman, bottled at 52.5% in a 70cl bottle. Brown-Forman released it for the 250th anniversary of the United States and the creation of Kentucky County, Virginia, which became the state of Kentucky.
It is the first non-single-barrel release from the brand, blended with bourbon of up to 18 years old, and it uses a new mashbill.
The nose is brown sugar, baking spices, cinnamon stick and buttered baked pie crust. The palate adds more spice and spiced raisin, and the finish lingers on aged oak and spice.
