A New York rye from Kings County Distillery, made as part of a wider project with other New York distillers. The mash is 80% Danko rye grown in New York and 20% English barley malt, and the whiskey is aged for two years in charred oak barrels. It is bottled at 102 proof.
The nose brings sweet tea, mint, dill and dessert spices. On the palate come blueberry crumble, cherry tart and candied ginger, with cinnamon, nutmeg and maple. The finish is warm and spicy, with notes of bread and holiday spice.
