Knockando 15 Year Old Richly Matured is a Speyside single malt from the distillery of that name, made only in the best distillation seasons. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration.
It was aged in refill bourbon and sherry-seasoned European oak casks, and is bottled only from whiskies distilled in a single year.
The nose is sherry-soaked fruit, toasted almonds and honeyed oak over floral malt and a hint of cinnamon. The palate has dried apricot, dark chocolate, roasted nuts and vanilla cream, and the finish is long and warming, with gentle spice, sweet oak and fruitcake richness.
