This is a 1965 Knockando bottled by Justerini & Brooks under the J&B name, a Speyside single malt carrying the Extra Old Reserve label. The whisky was distilled in 1965 and is bottled at 43%.
The nose is described as honeyed malt with orange peel, light toffee, dried apricot, walnut and polished oak. On the palate come stewed orchard fruit, caramelised citrus and almond cream, with vanilla, nutmeg, ginger, clove and a soft sherry sweetness. The finish is long and dry, with honey, orange zest, light cocoa and fading oak spice.
