Knockando – 1980 Single Malt, Bottled 1995

This is a Speyside single malt from Knockando, distilled in 1980 and bottled in 1995. The whisky is gold in colour. The nose offers sherry and smoke, with herbal and buttery notes. On the palate it is sherried and elegant, with olive oil, liquorice sticks, plenty of nuts and cereal, and burnt caramel. The finish is medium long, with oranges and oak, both fat and dry at once.
