A single malt from Knockando on the River Spey, matured slowly for 18 years and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The maturation took place in a combination of American oak and European sherry-seasoned casks, and the whisky is bottled without chill filtration.
The nose is mellow, with dried apricot, toasted almonds, polished oak, soft sherry sweetness, spice and vanilla. Stewed fruits, toffee, nutmeg and creamy malt run through a silky palate. The finish is long, with fruitcake, spice and roasted nuts fading into soft oak.
