Kurayoshi 8 Year Old is a blended malt from the Matsui Shuzou distillery in Tottori Prefecture, part of the Kurayoshi World Malt series. It combines malt whiskies from Scotland and Japan and is reduced with spring water from Mount Daisen. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle and is non-chill filtered.
Light amber-gold in colour, it has a nose of sweet malted barley, dried orange peel and floral honey. The palate offers toasted nuts, vanilla and white pepper, with light caramel and green apple. The finish is clean and medium in length, with citrus zest and gentle, dry oak.
