Kyrö Peat Smoke is a Finnish rye whisky in a 70cl bottle, made from 100% Finnish malted rye smoked with peat from Finnish freshwater areas. The wholegrain rye malt is smoked in a barn for 24 hours.
The whisky is mainly Kyrö Peat Smoke matured in new American oak casks and former bourbon casks, with a smaller share of Kyrö Malt matured in ex-bourbon casks.
The nose brings peat, part-baked apples, honey and a hint of rye spice. The palate is sweet from the rye malt, with a touch of citrus and warm spices, ending on wet smoke and beeswax.
