Kyrö Wood Smoke is a smoky Finnish rye whisky from Kyrö Distillery Company in Isokyrö, in a 75cl bottle. It is made from 100% malted Finnish whole-grain rye, dried over alder wood smoke in a 100-year-old barn.
The spirit is double pot distilled and matured in three types of oak cask.
The nose offers vanilla, caramel, pepper, sweet smoke and tar. The palate is robust with wood smoke, sweet rye bread, honey and oak, and the finish is warming and smoky, with lingering rye spice, oak and gentle sweetness.
