A Highland single malt of more than 20 years, finished in Icewine casks and bottled by La Famiglia at 53.4% in a 35cl bottle. It is the second of a three-part series, bottled at cask strength and unfiltered.
The nose is led by yellow fruit: ripe mirabelles, juicy pears and a hint of quince, with a honey sweetness over the top and a slight bitterness like strong manuka. The palate is noticeably drier, with tart apples turning to fully ripe pale stone fruit, edged with green apple and quince. The finish is very long and unobtrusive, a fading echo of tart and sweet fruit.
