This is the fourth Lagavulin Offerman release, an Islay single malt matured for 11 years and then aged for a further 8 months in ex-Caribbean rum casks. It is bottled at 46%.
Nick Offerman's editions are limited releases that reflect his own interests, and he works closely with Lagavulin from distillation and maturation through to the packaging. Here the smoke of Islay meets the sweetness of the rum casks.
The notes include lemon meringue, honey, vanilla, toffee, golden cinnamon and brine.
