This is the 1986 Distillers Edition of Lagavulin, an Islay single malt Scotch whisky at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It comes in the older brown bottle used for the series.
The whisky was given a second maturation in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, which contributes to its flavour. Distillers Editions were launched in 1997 as cask-finished variations on the Classic Malts, and the annual Lagavulin expression follows that approach.
