A 16-year-old Islay single malt from Lagavulin, distilled in 1987 and bottled in 2003 at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Distillers Edition series and is a limited release.
The whisky was double matured for up to six months in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, which add fruit such as raisins and dried fruit, and a syrupy character. The result is a peaty malt with notes of sea spray and a sweet undertone of sun-dried grapes.
