Lagg – Corriecravie Edition (55%)

Lagg Corriecravie Edition is a single malt from the Lagg Distillery on the southern tip of Arran, and the second release in its standard range. It matures first in ex-bourbon casks, then spends around six months in Oloroso sherry casks from the family-owned Bodega José y Miguel Martin in Jerez, Spain. It is bottled at 55% ABV, without chill-filtration or added colour. The name comes from a coastal village near Lagg. The nose offers dark chocolate and spiced red berries. The palate is rich and mouth-filling, with subtle notes of charred embers and hazelnut. The finish brings charred oak, smoke, hazelnut, dark chocolate and sweet spices.
