A 12 year old blended whisky from Laird O'Logan, bottled at 43% abv in a 75cl bottle.
Sherry casks leave a clear mark on the nose, which is full of ripe dark fruit, including dried figs and raisins, with toasted almonds, orange peel and cocoa. Old leather, sweet vanilla and a light, elegant peat smoke sit behind. The palate is silky and oily, with grain sweetness, caramel, brown sugar, cinnamon and clove, and a smoky, salty hint from Islay.
The finish is medium to long and warm, with marzipan, caramel, green apple, spice and toasted wood.
