Langatun – 2018/2025 6 Year Old Nerello Mascalese Cask #310 (50cl, 49.1%)

This is a Swiss single malt from Langatun, matured for six years in total, with a Nerello Mascalese red wine cask (number 310) shaping its finishing. Nerello Mascalese is a red grape variety from Sicily. The whisky was distilled on 9 April 2018 and bottled on 19 March 2025 at 49.12% ABV, giving 522 bottles from the cask. It is chill-filtered, has no added colouring, and comes in a 50cl bottle in a wooden box. Ripe apricot and fig meet roasted hazelnut and dark raisin on the nose. Liquid honey and soft vanilla shape the palate, and the finish is long, carried by an elegant spice.
