Langatun Old Crow Peated is a Swiss single malt made from peat-smoked malt and matured in red wine casks. Batch 437/02/25 is bottled at 46% in a 50cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colouring. The red wine casks bring a subtle fruitiness alongside vanilla and oak spice.
Langatun counts Old Crow among the early whiskies in Switzerland and continental Europe made with peat-smoked malt.
The nose combines sweet smoke and tobacco with fresh berries. On the palate come peat, salted caramel, vanilla, a hint of red wine and fine oak spice. The long, warming finish stays softly sweet and smoky, with tobacco, dark chocolate and peanut butter.
