Laphroaig 10 Year Old Original Cask Strength, Batch 13, is a ten-year-old Islay single malt matured in ex-bourbon casks. It is bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.9% ABV and is not chill-filtered.
It is the cask strength version of the distillery's 10 Year Old, with the same rough, smoky Laphroaig character carried at a higher strength.
The nose is sweet with manuka honey, balanced by peat and cedar smoke. On the palate come marshmallows toasted over an open fire, caramel, a touch of white pepper and ground cinnamon. The finish brings spicy oak tannins and sea salt.
