This is the 10 year old cask strength Laphroaig, Batch 016, an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in ex-bourbon barrels, barrier-filtered and bottled at natural distillery strength.
The whisky is described as emphatic and full bodied. With a little water added, the nose opens into peat smoke with some sweetness and strong hints of the sea.
