Laphroaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 016 is an Islay single malt matured in ex-bourbon barrels. Barrier-filtered and bottled at its natural distillery strength of 58.5%, it combines sweet, smoky and spicy flavours.
The nose offers cereal biscuits, smoked cedar, honey, tobacco and leather. Charred oak, toasted marshmallow, toffee, vanilla and caramel waffles shape the palate, alongside coffee fudge and warming spice. The finish turns floral, with oak tannins, iodine and sea salt.
Tasting Notes
Sweet cereals, biscuits, fresh oak, smoked cedar, Manuka honey, pipe tobacco, shoe polish, leather, candle wax, vanilla cream and nutmeg.
Charred oak, barbecued marshmallows, toffee, sea salt, vanilla, caramel waffles, coffee fudge, sticky toffee pudding, white pepper and cinnamon.
Floral, with spicy oak tannins, iodine and sea salt.
