Laphroaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 017 is an Islay single malt from the distillery's annual cask strength series. It is bottled at natural cask strength and without chill-filtration.
The nose combines bold peat with seaweed, iodine, smoked bacon and a hint of lemon zest. On the palate, intense peat smoke is balanced by toffee and dark chocolate sweetness. The finish is long and warming, with lingering sea salt and herbal notes. A few drops of water are said to open up further layers.
